Affiliate Disclosure

We’re upfront about how this site makes money.

Web Moguls earns income through affiliate partnerships. That means some links on this site are affiliate links — if you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.

This is how we keep the site free, ad-light, and full of useful content. We take our readers’ trust seriously: we only recommend products we’ve researched and genuinely believe are worth your time.

What is affiliate marketing?

Affiliate marketing is a standard way for content publishers to earn revenue. Here’s how it works in plain terms:

  • A company creates an affiliate program and provides us with a unique tracking link.
  • We include that link in relevant articles or resource pages on this site.
  • If you click the link and complete a qualifying action (usually a purchase or signup), we earn a commission — typically a percentage of the sale or a flat fee.
  • The price you pay is always the same as if you went directly to the company’s website. You never pay more because of an affiliate link.

Affiliate commissions are how the vast majority of independent blogs and publications sustain themselves. It allows us to create free, in-depth content without charging readers a subscription fee.

Our editorial standards

Having affiliate relationships does not mean we recommend every product that has an affiliate program — or that our opinions are for sale. Here’s how we approach recommendations:

🔍

We research before recommending

We review the product, read user feedback, and assess whether it genuinely fits our readers’ needs before writing about it.

We turn down programs that aren’t a fit

We decline affiliate partnerships for products we don’t believe in, even when the commission is attractive.

⚖️

We share real drawbacks

If a product has limitations worth knowing about, we say so. Honest reviews build more trust than cheerleading — and they’re more useful to you.

Non-affiliate links exist too

Not every link on this site is an affiliate link. We link to tools, resources, and references that are useful regardless of whether we earn anything.

Affiliate networks we useSome programs are managed through affiliate networks including Impact, Awin, and PartnerStack. Joining these networks as an advertiser or publisher is separate from our editorial content.

FTC compliance

This disclosure is made in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s guidelines on endorsements and testimonials in advertising, as outlined in 16 CFR Part 255.

The FTC requires that bloggers and content publishers clearly disclose any material connection to a brand, product, or service they recommend — including affiliate relationships, gifted products, or sponsored content.

In addition to this standalone page, you will find a brief affiliate disclosure notice near the top of every article on this site that contains affiliate links. That notice reads:

Per-article disclosure text

“This post contains affiliate links. If you purchase through them, I may earn a small commission — at no extra cost to you. I only recommend tools and products I genuinely believe in.”

We take FTC compliance seriously. If you ever feel a disclosure is missing or unclear, please contact us and we’ll address it promptly.

Does this cost you anything?

No. Using our affiliate links never increases the price you pay. In many cases, the companies we partner with offer special discounts or free trials exclusively through our links — so you may actually pay less than going directly to their site.

When a company offers an exclusive deal through our affiliate link, we’ll clearly call it out in the relevant article.

Sponsored content & paid partnerships

From time to time, Web Moguls may publish sponsored content — articles, reviews, or features that a company has paid to have written and published on this site. Any sponsored content will be clearly labeled as “Sponsored” or “Paid Partnership” at the top of the post.

Even for sponsored content, we maintain our editorial standards: we will not publish content that we believe is misleading, inaccurate, or harmful to our readers’ interests.
